Formal Athletic Training
the statement scares many, but give it a chance!
Any endeavor that is outside of normal patterns within someone's life are considered athletic endeavors to me.
Just like when we play tennis we can't predict everything that happens in our everyday life, throwing tough situations at us.
Whether it's having to sprint after an excitable toddler, or placing a heavy object on a shelf, we CANNOT be specifically prepared for each situation, but we CAN be generally prepared. By doing so we increase our feeling of wellbeing, decrease our risk of bodily damage, & increase our ability to do great works.

Individual Body Recomposition
Just a fancy way to say get rid of things we don't want on our body, and add things we want! So, how do we achieve this?
There are many biblical references to maintenance of a healthy body, but doesn't specify what a healthy body looks like. We are blessed to have different shapes and thus are expected to to do our bwat form that "shape" and not change it to something its not. So many people are willing to depreciate a strong to fit another image. Weight loss thru muscle wasting may make us lighter, and feel like we look better, but at what cost? Just like all parts of the body of the church are different, so are our composition.
Let's learn to maximize yours!

Eating and exercise books are often broken into to categories, biblical and scientific. People on both sides seem to want them kept separate without looking at the merits of both from the simple perspective of how they impact our bodies & allow us to do what we are designed to do!
